There is no greater job on earth, than being a pastor of a church. Sometimes it is hard, often times lonely, but it is always rewarding. The Lord has given me a great opportunity to pastor a small church that has a very enormous heart for service in Christ.
My wife Linda and I were married in 1974. She has been a great strength and encouragement in my ministry. We have one living son, Jeffrey, and one son, David Paul, who has been rejoicing in Heaven with the Lord since 1995.
Jeff is the adult Sunday school teacher and also recently joined the staff as the associate pastor. He and his wife, Sarah, are expecting their first child in April 2012 and live in Maumelle.
God has blessed us with a very fine church family who go above and beyond to make sure that we are taken care of and we are so thankful for them.

After several years of serving as a teacher and deacon, I felt an overwhelming call to the ministry. Having seen the sorrow that pastors often endure, it was not a role I was actively seeking; nevertheless, having been called by God to serve Him in that capacity I am eager to learn and live worthy of the calling he has for me.
Paul instructed Timothy in 2 Timothy 2:15 to "Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a worker who has no need to be ashamed, rightly handling the word of truth" (ESV). It is my desire that my life is such that I never bring shame to the church or to Christ, and that I always speak truth any time I speak about His Word.
My wife and I married in February 2004, currently own a home in Maumelle, Arkansas, and are expecting our first child in April. I teach the Adult Sunday School class and my wife, alternating quarterly with my mom, teaches the children's class. We would like to invite you to experience the love and support that we have felt here at BBC Jax.
